When you’re moving forward, it’s okay to look back. It all started with our founder, Rolly Lokre. Rolly was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, and studied economics at the University of Wisconsin. His professional journey began in 1978 when he and his father founded Weston Wholesale, Dun-Rite Exteriors, and Preferred Properties. These ventures provided extensive experience in building supply, construction, and property management.

Around that same time, he purchased his first real estate investment—a small duplex—which marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to owning, leasing, buying, selling, and developing real estate throughout the region.

In 1999, the companies were unified under one umbrella to form Lokre Development Companies, which has earned a lasting reputation within the national real estate industry and communities throughout the Midwest. Rolly’s strong principles and impact-driven mindset are the reasons we’re proud to carry his vision forward.
